Product Description
Application
LY1-B60 surge protective device(SPD) is suitable for 380V AC 50/60HZ TN-S, TN-C-S, TT, IT etc. Power supply system. Normally installed on the joint of LPZ1 or LPZ2 and LPZ3, designed accordingly to IEC61643-1, GB18802.1 standard. It's standard 35mm din rail installation. There is failure release mounted on the module of surge protective device. When SPD fails in breakdown for over-heat or over-current, the failure release will help electric device separate from the power supply system and give the indication signal. Green means normal, red means fault.
Features
  • 1. Module design, easy to install, and change module no need power off.
  • 2. Inside over-current, over-heat, temperature control open circuit.
  • 3. Fast response time, low residual voltage.
  • 4. Window color indicates working condition, green means normal, red means fault.
  • 5. Max discharge current can endure 60KA(8/20).
Installation position
LY1-B60 is Class B lightning protection degree, installed on the joint of LPZOA or LPZOB and LPZ1 zone, usually installed in low voltage main power distribution box connected to the incoming end of the buildings.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What power supply systems is the LY1-B60 surge protective device (SPD) compatible with?
The LY1-B60 SPD is suitable for 380V AC 50/60HZ power supply systems, including TN-S, TN-C-S, TT, and IT configurations.
Where should this Class B SPD be installed within a building?
It is typically installed on the joint of LPZ0A or LPZ0B and LPZ1 zones. This usually corresponds to the incoming end of the low voltage main power distribution box of the building.
How does the color-coded indicator window function?
The visual status window indicates the working condition of the module: green indicates the device is normal, while red indicates a fault.
Is it necessary to power off the system to change modules?
No, the module design allows for easy installation and maintenance; you can replace the module without needing to power off the electrical supply system.
What are the maximum discharge current and response time values?
The LY1-B60 features a maximum discharge current (Imax) of 60kA (8/20µs) and a fast response time (tA) of ≤25ns.
How do the remote contact terminals function?
The device supports three remote signal states: C+NC (normally closed contact), C+NO (normally open contact), and C (common contact) for system state monitoring.
