AC220V AFDD Arc Fault Protector Device RCBO RCCB MCB Circuit Breaker Interrupted Overload Earth Leakage Short Circuit Protection

Product Description

AFDD incorporating MCB, RCD and arc fault detection module, provides protection against short circuit, overload, leakage current and arc fault. Zero-sequence transformer of RCD detects leakage current, and arc fault module detects arc fault, which enable the product effectively disconnect the protected circuit in case of either leakage current fault or arc fault.

Applicable to AC circuit with rated current up to 63A, provides protection against arc fault, overload, short circuit and leakage current fault happened to branch circuits in lighting distribution and power distribution system.

The arc fault detection module of AFDD can effectively detect and identify arc faults in its protected circuit with disabled insulation layer due to aging, damaging or high humidity. The product trips and disconnects the circuit upon detection of arc faults.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What is an AFDD?
An AFDD (Arc Fault Detection Device) is a safety device designed to detect dangerous electrical arcing and disconnect the circuit to prevent potential fires.
2. Does this AFDD provide other protections?
Yes, this device incorporates MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker) and RCD (Residual Current Device) functions, offering protection against short circuits, overloads, and leakage current.
3. What is the rated current for this device?
This AFDD is applicable to AC circuits with a rated current up to 63A.
4. How does the device detect arc faults?
The arc fault detection module monitors the circuit for specific electrical signatures associated with arcing caused by damaged or aging insulation.
5. Can this be used in residential wiring?
Yes, it is designed for branch circuits in lighting and power distribution systems, making it suitable for both residential and commercial applications.
6. What voltage and frequency does it support?
It supports a rated voltage of AC230V at a frequency of 50Hz.
